Our Teachers

We'd love for you to get to know us as much as we get to know you. Here is a little bit about our team.

Tahnee has been teaching in the Chicagoland area for over 13 years and loves sharing her passion for music with her students! Tahnee began her music career at the age of 5 studying both piano and voice eventually earning her Bachelor’s Degree from Bradley University in Music and Theatre. She has performed with local bands over the years and is currently singing and playing on her church worship team. In 2019, after a decade of teaching, she was finally able to open Moving Melodies Academy with the philosophy that learning music should be fun!

Jonathan Berry is a musician and teacher from Winfield, IL. He studied extensively under the brilliant music professors at Taylor University. Despite spending the last 16 years diligently studying classical composition and repertoire, Jonathan also loves to perform all kinds of music genres. He also loves to utilize the skills and knowledge he has acquired to improvise and write his own music, whether it is a classical piano trio, trap/hip hop beats, alternative rock/metal, and everything in between. His primary instrument is piano, though he is also proficient in vocals and acoustic/electric guitar. Jonathan has had an interest in playing music since he was learning to read notes at age 4 and began to play piano at 5, and has continued to learn new instruments and skills ever since. Jonathan has performed countless times and in a multitude of settings, from his very first performance (simply walking on stage and bowing) to performing alongside his talented peers at cancer hospitals and orphanages across the world. Jonathan believes music is at the core of every individual, and finds immense joy in helping unleash potential in his students. He would like to say a special thank you to the many wonderful instructors and professors who poured into him over the years - he would not be here without them, and he is forever grateful!
